Gaziantep tradesmen are ready for the "GastroAntep Culture Road Festival"

The countdown has begun for the 6th "GastroAntep Culture Road Festival" to be held on September 14-22 to introduce the local flavors of Gaziantep, which come from the sun, soil and history, to the whole world.

The tradesmen of Gaziantep, the city of gastronomy, have completed all their preparations for the "GastroAntep Culture Road Festival" to be held on September 14-22. The "GastroAntep Culture Road Festival", which was brought to life by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will take place in Gaziantep this year on September 14-22, 2024. The festival excitement is experienced in Gaziantep, which is one of the most important taste stops in Turkey and is among the gastronomy centers of the world with its many different flavors such as baklava, katmer, beyran, kebab and pistachio.

Within the scope of the “GastroAntep Culture Road Festival” to be held by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, all preparations have been completed, especially the record attempt of 500 masters by preparing the world’s longest kebab, which is 2.5 kilometers long.

As part of the festival, which aims to promote Gaziantep’s historical and cultural riches, contribute to its brand value and revitalize the local market, flags, tarpaulins and posters were hung at many points in the city. While the festival day is awaited with great excitement, all sectors in the city, especially the food and beverage sector, have completed their preparations. Gaziantep’s historical Bakırcılar Bazaar, Almacı Bazaar, Kürkçü Han, Gaziler, Karagöz and Suburcu streets, and businesses that bring the city’s flavors to the public on the route known as the Culture Road, are eagerly awaiting the festival day.

Tradesmen see the festival, which will be held for the 6th time this year within the scope of the “Culture Road Festivals” of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as an opportunity. The tradesmen who have made all their preparations for the festival, where hundreds of local flavors such as the city's world-famous baklava, kebab, beyran, katmer, pistachio and dried vegetables will meet with visitors, are excitedly waiting for the festival date. Stating that they are ready for the festival as tradesmen, baklava master Levent Aktaş stated that such festivals contribute a lot to the tradesmen.

"Gaziantep has a very wide range of cuisine"

Aktaş, who stated that this flavor festival is a great chance for the guests coming to Gaziantep, said, "We have also made our preparations for the festival held every year. Hopefully, we will try to do everything we can to host our guests coming to our city in the best way. Gaziantep has a very wide range of cuisine and as baklava makers, we will be proud to make our guests coming to our city taste our baklava in the best way and to host our guests in our city. When it comes to baklava, the first thing that comes to mind is Gaziantep. The product quality, beauty and use of natural products in Gaziantep, and the fact that the guests coming to our city taste our baklava and say 'this is such a beautiful baklava' makes us proud and happy."

"We are expecting all of Turkey to Gaziantep"

Tradesman Hurşit Aktaş, who sells local products, stated that they will let the guests coming to Gaziantep for the festival taste the new products and said, "As Gaziantep tradesmen, we are ready for the gastronomy festival. We have prepared very well for the festival. All of our products have been newly prepared and our fresh products have arrived. We are expecting all of our fellow citizens to Gaziantep and the festival and we are expecting all of Turkey to Gaziantep." "Such festivals contribute greatly to tradesmen"

Fatih Özsefil, a tradesman at the historical Almazı Market, who stated that they are expecting local and foreign tourists to Gaziantep, said, "As tradesmen, we are ready for the 'GastroAntep Culture Road Festival' to be held for the 6th time this year and our new products have arrived for the festival. As tradesmen, we are expecting everyone to Gaziantep. Such festivals contribute greatly to tradesmen. We have guests coming from both abroad and domestically. They tour Gaziantep, eat Gaziantep's food, buy local products. They buy baklava, pistachios, dried vegetables and spices. When it comes to shopping, it also contributes greatly to us."
